The Head Teacher of this school is seeking to appoint a Youth Mentor on a temporary basis, with a view of making the position permanent for the right candidate. You will be a highly motivated and inspirational individual that has a proven track record of supporting pupils through the education system. The team consists of talented Special Needs Teachers and Learning Support Assistants that are all graduates with exceptional SEN knowledge.
This Youth Mentor role is fundamental position to help drive the future aspirations and successes of pupils within the school. The primary role of the Youth Mentor is to develop a personal and positive rapport with pupils. This involves consistent meetings with pupils and ensuring the meeting times is enjoyable and comfortable. The Youth Mentor should work with pupils to establish achievable goals.
* Experience of working in a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) would be an advantage
* SEN specialist
* Available immediately - though notice periods will be considered
