Special Needs HLTA/QTS Tutor 

We are seeking a Level 4 HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) or QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Teacher with SEN experience to join our dedicated team at Teaching Personnel.

The successful candidate will work within our small SEN provision, supporting students' day-to-day activities and delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences through 1:1 and small group tutoring. The college is based in Bolton (BL4) and is dedicated to providing equal life chances for all our students. As a SEN tutor you will

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging tutoring sessions that meet the diverse needs of our students

- Provide support and guidance to students in their educational and personal development, fostering independence, confidence, and self-advocacy skills.

- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualised learning plans for students, ensuring progress is monitored and interventions are put in place as necessary.

- Support students in their transition to adulthood, facilitating opportunities for community engagement, work experience, and leisure activities.

- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance teaching practice and keep abreast of best practices in SEN education.

Requirements:

  • Level 4 HLTA qualification or QTS status.
  • Experience working in a SEN (Special Educational Needs) setting desirable
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the holistic development of students with diverse needs.
  • Be eligable for an enhanced DBS disclosure check

Pay dependent on experience. 

This is a full time role, Monday-Friday
