Are you an experienced Youth Worker, Sports Coach, Mentor, or Support Worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people?

We are recruiting for a number of full-time and part-time Youth Worker opportunities within Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools across Skelmersdale, starting in September.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and challenging behaviour.

As a Youth Worker within an SEN school, you will:

  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Support students both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Help manage behaviour and encourage positive engagement.
  • Promote emotional wellbeing, confidence, and resilience.
  • Support pupils with social skills, communication, and personal development.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to provide the best outcomes for students.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people.
  • A background in youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, care work, support work, residential care, or similar settings.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Full-time and part-time positions available.
