We are currently recruiting Classroom Support Assistants to work on a day-to-day basis across a variety of SEN and SEMH schools in Skelmersdale. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are patient, resilient, and confident supporting pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviours.

  • Supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH needs within the classroom.
  • Assisting teachers with delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Building positive relationships with students to encourage learning and development.
  • Managing challenging behaviours using a calm and nurturing approach.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support where required.
  • Helping create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
  • A calm, patient, and resilient personality.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience within education, care, youth work, sports coaching, support work, or similar backgrounds would be advantageous.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.
  • Flexible day-to-day assignments to suit your availability.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
