Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity within a mainstream primary school in Blackburn? We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils and teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

This temp-to-perm Teaching Assistant position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience while working towards a permanent role within a supportive school setting.

  • Support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and organisation.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils with varying academic and social needs.
  • Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence.
  • Follow school safeguarding and behaviour management policies.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Classroom Assistant, or similar role is desirable.
  • Experience working with primary-aged children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach.
  • Commitment to supporting children's educational development.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
