An exciting opportunity has become available for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Chorley for the full academic year.

This role is perfect for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who enjoys supporting pupils with a range of needs. The position includes SEND support responsibilities, delivery of targeted academic interventions in Maths and English, and providing effective classroom support to ensure all pupils can succeed.

  • Support teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
  • Deliver Maths and English intervention programmes
  • Provide support for pupils with SEND
  • Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement
  • Support pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
  • Experience supporting SEND pupils desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Positive, nurturing and professional attitude
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • £14.25 - £16.00 per hour
