Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role within a welcoming primary school? We are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream primary school in Blackburn for the full academic year.

This varied role offers the opportunity to make a real impact across the school day, providing SEND support, delivering targeted Maths and English interventions, and assisting with general classroom activities to help pupils achieve their full potential.

  • Provide high-quality support to pupils with additional learning needs and SEND requirements
  • Deliver small group and one-to-one Maths and English interventions
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
  • Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Classroom Assistant
  • Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Patient, adaptable and proactive approach
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • Competitive hourly rate of £14.25 - £16.00
  • Full academic year placement with stability and consistency
