Are you a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school, where you'll play a key role in inspiring young learners and providing them with the best possible start to their education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that supports children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
  • Assess, monitor, and record children's progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
  • Support pupils' personal, social, emotional, and academic development through high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, parents, and carers to support every child's progress and development.
  • Promote positive behaviour and establish clear classroom routines and expectations.
  • Prepare and maintain an engaging learning environment with appropriate resources and displays.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • The ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences for all pupils.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
