About the Role:

Supply Desk are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Reception Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Harrow area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or aspiring early years educator who is committed to providing engaging learning experiences and supporting children as they take their first steps into formal education.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching within the Reception classroom, helping children develop socially, emotionally and academically while creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging and age-appropriate lessons in line with the EYFS framework
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating Reception classroom environment
• Support children’s academic, social, emotional and physical development
• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress effectively
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues
• Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence
• Encourage children’s curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm for learning
• Ensure safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed at all times

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Previous experience teaching within Reception or EYFS (Desirable)
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, caring and proactive attitude
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
