About the Role
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a passionate KS2 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school, where you'll play a key role in inspiring pupils and supporting their academic, personal, and social development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2.
- Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
- Teach a broad and balanced curriculum, supporting pupils in developing their literacy, numeracy, and wider academic skills.
- Assess, monitor, and record pupils' progress, using assessment data to inform planning and provide targeted support where required.
- Prepare pupils for end-of-year assessments where appropriate, ensuring they are supported to achieve their full potential.
- Promote positive behaviour and high expectations in line with the school's behaviour policy.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, parents, and the wider school team to support pupils' progress and wellbeing.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
- A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for delivering engaging lessons that inspire pupils to achieve their best.
- A commitment to supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
