TEAM TEACH Support Assistant required
A SENCO at a Primary School in Great Harwood has approached Teaching Personnel in order to source a full-time specialist support assistant. They are looking for someone who has strong behaviour management and experience working alongside children with ASC and challenging behaviour. The successful candidate must be TEAM TEACH qualified and confident in using a range of strategies to de-escalate challenging and disruptive behaviour. The role is on a full-time basis starting after May half-term (Monday 7th June) on an ongoing basis however the Head Teacher has commented that they are ideally looking for someone on a long-term basis to support this child. You would be supporting the child on a 1:1 basis within the classroom as well as on the yard during break and lunch time. The Head Teacher is ideally looking for a pro-active practitioner who can hit the ground running and build a strong relationship with the child.
In order to be successful in this role:
The role is to start after May half-term (Monday 7th June) due to temporary support being in place until then. This would be on a full-time basis (9am-3.30pm), ongoing basis. The SENCO would like the successful candidate to meet them before starting the role to discuss the child’s EHCP/ strategies and routine already in place, this will be via a video call.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
