Exciting opportunity for a Caretaker/ Handyperson to become part of the site team within a secondary school in Bury.

Having appointed a new site manager recently, the large secondary school located in Bury is looking for a caretaker to work alongside to support the site manager in the maintenance of the school buildings and grounds, and the security of the premises and its contents. The school are looking for an individual who is passionate in helping them to maintain and develop the school site further for the benefit of pupils and staff.

Job role:

  • Full-time Caretaker.
  • Starting in January 2022 or earlier if possible.
  • Earn up to £400 per week.
  • All experience will be considered such as construction, plumbing, gardening etc.

Our client secondary school are looking for a caretaker/handyperson or someone with DIY and maintenance skills that can be transferrable to this role. You do not need direct experience in a school, but this is desirable. The successful candidate should be able to carry out routine maintenance, basic repairs during the day and provide support for larger projects in the school holidays.

The school is based close by to the centre of Bury and can be easily accessed via the M60 and A56 from surrounding areas. Being close by to the town centre, the school can also be accessed via several forms of public transport from neighbouring areas such as Radcliffe, Bolton and Rochdale.
