Job Title: Part-time School Caretaker

Location: Wallington, Croydon

Position Type: Part-time

Salary: £15 - £17 per hour

Hours: The are two options when it comes to the days and hours.

Option 1: 2 days a week, 8:00am to 3:45pm

Option 2: 3 days a week, - 8:00am to 1:00 pm or 12:00pm to 5:00pm

Start Date: ASAP

Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and proactive Part-time School Caretaker to join an SEN (Special Educational Needs) school located in Wallington, Croydon. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the schools premises.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general caretaking duties including cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Ensure the security of the premises by locking and unlocking doors, windows, and gates.
• Monitor and maintain heating, lighting, and ventilation systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify any maintenance or safety issues.
• Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment for school events and activities.
• Respond promptly to any emergency situations or alarms.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid and up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate.
• Previous experience in caretaking, facilities management, or a related field.

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
