This is a wonderful opportunity for a Teaching Assistant, Newly Qualified Teacher or Fully Qualified Teacher to build upon experience, as the successful applicant will be working with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students in a supportive primary school in Rochdale.
As a Primary Intervention Teacher, you will be working closely with students either 1:1 or in small groups of up to six students, supporting them to make rapid progress in Numeracy and Literacy. This would be in-class on a face-to-face basis. School is happy to accommodate full-time working hours (Monday – Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm) or part-time working hours (2-3 full days per week), depending on educator availability. Tutors will also be required to complete sessional reports for your groups each session. All students are entitled to 15-hours of tuition, so placements will take place for 15-weeks (excluding holidays), meaning tutors must be able to commit to the role on a long-term basis. This opportunity may also lead to long term / permanent positions in schools to be an Intervention Teacher or Tutor.
This is an average-sized Catholic Primary School in Rochdale. They were inspected by Ofsted in 2019 and graded ‘Good’. Our school is seeking tuition for a number of pupils with SpLD, so it is essential that the successful applicant has experience working with pupils with SEN and is committed to supporting young people catch up after a turbulent couple years in their education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
