Position: Intervention Teacher.

Location: Chorley.

Start date: Monday 13th May 2024.

Contract type: Full time – Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:15pm (perm).

Pay rate: £110 - £200 per day.

An excellent SEN provision in the Chorley area is looking for an Intervention Teacher to join their team from May 2024. This school prides themselves on:

As an Intervention Teacher you will be required to plan and deliver quality Intervention lessons to individual students are aged 6 – 19. You will assess their areas of improvement and adapt your lessons to suit their individual needs. You will assist with, implement and follow their individual Educational Health Care Plans and adhere to the school’s behaviour management strategies. You must be confident when implementing these particular behaviour strategies and must remain calm when facing challenging behaviour. You will be required to collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCO to plan and adapt activities to meet the pupil’s specific needs and maintain effective communication with parents, providing regular feedback on the child’s progress.

Requirements:

  • Must hold QTS or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills and Nationally recognised degree.
  • Relevant experience supporting pupils with SEN or similar special educational needs.
  • Knowledge of autism and associated complex learning needs.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques.
  • Empathy, patience and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
