One of our partner colleges is looking for a Learning Mentor who can work with students providing numeracy and literacy support where required. The successful Learning Mentor is required to start from 31st October following the half term break. This is a full-time mentor role with the successful individual being required from 8:30 – 4pm each day. The successful Learning Mentor will be working with small groups of students providing intervention and in-house tutoring as required.

Highlights of this Learning Mentor position:
The Learning Mentor will primarily be supporting students in year 12 (AS-level) who have been identified as requiring additional support with their numeracy and literacy. The majority of work will be undertaken out of mainstream classes, in small groups. This has become a requirement given the that students have missed a large portion of the college year in the past 2 years during their time as year 10 and 11.

Stretford, Chorlton, Whalley Range and Altrincham/Sale are all close by with the central Metrolink also servicing the college well for those that travel via public transport. If you are a Learning Mentor who drives, then the college is very easy to get to being on a main transport route with an on-site secure car park.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
