Smile Education are a Crown Commercial Services (CCS) approved supplier; we are currently working on behalf of a Staffordshire based Primary School to recruit a Learning Mentor. We are currently seeking a Learning Mentor to join this two-form entry primary situated in Tamworth from September 2022.  This is a full-time role due to last until the end of the academic year.

The successful applicant will be working mainly on a 1:1 basis to support a child with SEND. However, you will also be required to support the pupil in group work with their peers. This role is ideal for anyone wishing to extend their knowledge of SEND Education and who already has some experience in the field (around 3-6 months).

This school is located within proximity to to Glascote, Kettlebrook, Two Gates, Amington, Wilnecote and Bitterscote and is within 2 miles of Tamworth Town Centre This school has great links with public transport and report above average attainment across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

We would like applicants to have experience in supporting teaching and learning either within the UK or British International school setting.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

• Hold a relevant UK teaching assistant / Learning Mentor qualification- for example Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools or Certificate in National Learning Mentor

• Knowledge of the UK Primary Curriculum

• Able and willing to travel to the Tamworth area
