Teaching Personnel is recruiting graduates for Cover Supervisor positions across Durham secondary schools from September 2026. You'll be in the classroom from day one, building practical experience that strengthens any future application to teacher training, educational psychology, or a permanent support role.

What the role involves:

  • Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 and delivering pre-set work
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations
  • Following school procedures and feeding back to staff after each lesson
  • Building familiarity with students and schools over time

What we're looking for:

  • A degree in any discipline
  • Enthusiasm for working with secondary aged young people
  • Confident, reliable, and professional approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
