Smile Education is currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work with children from Early Years to Key Stage 4 across schools in Wolverhampton. These positions are to support schools with staff absences and would be perfect for individuals seeking part-time or flexible work – ideal for those with other commitments such as university or college studies.
About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll be working closely with students who may have a range of needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)
- Complex Needs
- Physical Disabilities
You’ll be providing one-to-one and group support, ensuring that all pupils can access learning in a safe and supportive environment.
Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a relevant qualification for working with children
- Have UK-based experience in a similar role
- Be able to provide two years of references, with at least one reference commenting on your work with children
- Be confident working independently, yet also able to take direction and work collaboratively in a professional team
- Be comfortable providing personal care support where required
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one through Smile Education
