Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the Wincanton area that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs by delivering engaging, tailored learning in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and be confident in adapting teaching strategies to ensure every child can achieve their full potential.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous or current in-depth experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• A sound understanding of a range of SEND, including adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
• Excellent behaviour management skills with a calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• A passion for creating an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Pay & Benefits:

• Paid to the Main Pay Scale (M1–M6), dependent on experience.
• Weekly pay through Teaching Personnel.
• Ongoing support from a dedicated Primary Education Consultant.

Teaching Personnel Vetting Process

As part of our safeguarding commitment, all applicants will be required to complete Teaching Personnel's compliance process before starting work. This includes:

• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional references covering recent employment.
• Right to Work checks.
• Verification of qualifications, including QTS.
• A comprehensive interview with a dedicated Teaching Personnel consultant.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
