Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Dorchester to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team from September. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and contribute to a supportive and ambitious Maths department.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of mathematical concepts. Key Stage 5 teaching experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons that meet the needs of students of varying abilities.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and achievement.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing effective feedback and support.
Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the Maths department.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and academic success.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A genuine enthusiasm for Mathematics and a commitment to delivering engaging lessons.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
