Salary: £140.00 - £230.00 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date -  September 2026

We are working with a number of specialist schools, Autism Resource Bases and inclusive mainstream schools across Stoke-on-Trent (ST3, ST4 & ST11) who are seeking dedicated and compassionate Autism Specialist Teachers to join their teams.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of pupils with Autism, helping them to develop academically, socially and emotionally within a supportive learning environment.

Planning and delivering personalised, engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with Autism (ASC)

Creating structured, inclusive learning environments that promote confidence, independence and wellbeing

Working closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and families

Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching strategies to support EHCP outcomes

Using a range of communication strategies and interventions to help pupils thrive

❤️ Building positive relationships that encourage engagement, resilience and achievement

⭐ Qualified Teachers (QTS/QTLS) or Early Career Teachers (ECTs)

⭐ Experienced in teaching pupils with Autism or passionate about developing a career within specialist education

⭐ Patient, empathetic and adaptable in their approach

⭐ Confident in using positive behaviour support strategies

⭐ Committed to providing every child with the opportunity to reach their full potential

  • Autism Resource Bases or Specialist Schools
  • EHCP planning and review
  • PECS, Makaton or Attention Autism
  • TEACCH or sensory-informed teaching approaches
  • Supporting pupils with communication and interaction needs
