A client primary school in Blackpool, Lancashire (FY1) are working alongside Teaching Personnel to find an experienced Teaching Assistant with Youth Work experience to join their KS2 team on a FULL TIME basis. This ‘GOOD’ primary school are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant take a lead on behaviour Support  across the school on a full time basis starting as soon as possible. The successful Teaching Assistant will work with small groups of children across KS1 & KS2 who have identified needs and require continued support. The school are looking for a confident Teaching Assistant who will be able to deliver engaging extra curricular activities for children who are struggling to access learning within the classroom.

This Ofsted rated ‘GOOD’ primary school is dedicated to creating an ‘inclusive’ learning environment which supports children with additional needs. The SENCO and other senior leaders of the school aim to make ‘learning accessible and enjoyable for all children’. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the schools SENCO and class teacher to identify areas for development for specified children.  The successful candidate will be expected to work with children across KS1 & KS2 who display challenging behaviour and need protected time working on a 1:1 basis. The successful applicant doesn’t necessarily need experience working with specific SEN as the right personality and attitude will go a long way at this school.

To be considered for this role you will:

- Have a back ground in youth work or equivalent

- Have experience working with children between the ages of 5-11

- Be able to implement strong behaviour management techniques at all times

The school can offer you the opportunity to work in a ‘GOOD’ school with a supportive leadership and management team. The position is to start ASAP and will run up until the end of the academic year. The chance to continue into the new academic year may be possible for the right candidate.
