Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a highly regarded primary school in Didsbury to recruit a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Teacher for a full-time position commencing in October 2026.

The Role

As the Year 6 Teacher, you will lead a motivated class through this crucial stage of their educational journey, delivering high-quality lessons that challenge, inspire, and support all learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments while maintaining a broad, balanced, and enjoyable curriculum.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data effectively to inform planning and intervention strategies.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued, supported, and challenged.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities and learning styles.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations for attainment and progress.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and senior leaders to maximise pupil outcomes.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, ideally within Year 6.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Possess a strong understanding of SATs preparation and assessment requirements.
• Be passionate about raising attainment and supporting pupils to achieve their potential.
• Build positive and effective relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
• Bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a proactive approach to teaching and learning.
• Be committed to maintaining high standards across all aspects of the role.
