Year 1 Teacher in Nailsea

A friendly and welcoming school in Nailsea is looking for a year 1 class teacher to join them from Easter until the end of the academic year. The school is a small primary schools based on the outskirts of West Bristol and their ethos is strongly based on high expectations of all of their pupils.

This school is extremely well performing, and they are very proud of their achievements in all areas. Focus on wellbeing and making sure that all children feel happy is paramount and something often commented on by visitors to the school.

This role will require a year 1 class teacher with a positive attitude, who can provide consistency for the class until the end of the academic year. You will be provided with weekly PPA time in order to plan and prepare lessons for the class. You will be delivering unique lesson, mostly with the help of a teaching assistant.

The successful candidate will have:

  • UK qualified teacher status,
  • Experience of working as a teacher within the last 10 years,
  • ECTs are welcome to apply for this role,
  • Be able to differentiate content for pupils with SEND,
  • Have good behaviour management,
  • Be able to utilise formative and summative assessment to maximise pupil progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
