Your Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant (Cynorthwyydd Dysgu Cymraeg) to join our team starting in September. This full-time role involves supporting students in the Foundation Phase on a 1:1 basis, particularly those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). The position is confirmed for the academic year, with potential for extension for the right candidate.

Qualifications and Skills:

While previous experience working with children and familiarity with Additional Learning Needs are advantageous, they are not essential. However, candidates with relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or experience in 1:1 support are encouraged to apply. Fluency in Welsh is a prerequisite for this role, as you will be providing support in the medium of Welsh. We seek individuals who are passionate about children's education, Welsh language, and culture. Strong communication skills, the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and parents, and a commitment to delivering quality work are essential.

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS clearance (Teaching Personnel can assist with DBS application and EWC registration)

Registration with the Education Workforce Council

Provision of two professional references

Right to work in the UK
