Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Tredegar Area)

About the Role:

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
  • Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and independence
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs or behaviour
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment

We Are Looking For:

  • Individuals with transferable skills from backgrounds such as childcare, youth work, coaching, support work, or customer-facing roles
  • A passion for helping young people succeed
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach
  • A willingness to learn and develop within an education setting

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
  • EWC registration (or willingness to apply)
