SEN Teaching Assistant

An opportunity has opened for a teaching assistant in a SEN school in Bolton. The pupils are of secondary and 6th form age (11-18) with specialised needs including Autism, physical disabilities and other complex learning needs.

As well as teaching students basic English and Maths skills, the school focuses specifically on nurturing and promoting mental well-being, social and communication skills. The role of SEN Teaching Assistant would be to provide hands-on support for students under direction of the classroom teacher.

This is a fantastic opportunity for those with, but not exclusive to:

  • Healthcare background
  • Experience within the care sector
  • Educators wanting to gain SEN experience.
  • Psychology, speech and language, sociology BSc/MA

This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday.
