Role Overview:

As a Future Teacher on our programme, you will work as a Cover Supervisor in secondary schools across Andover.

Responsibilities:

  • Covering lessons during teacher absences, ensuring students continue learning effectively.

  • Supervising the class and maintaining a positive learning environment.

  • Supporting students with their coursework and exam preparation.

  • Participating in school activities and collaborating with staff to support student development.

Key Details:

  • Start Date: September 2024
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30-15:30

During Placement, You Will:

  • Maintain a journal to document your experiences and reflections.

  • Observe lessons within your subject specialism and others to broaden your teaching knowledge.

  • Learn effective differentiation, behaviour management, and other key teaching skills.

  • Familiarize yourself with school policies and the curriculum.
