Position: Outreach Support Worker

Location: Totnes

Type: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support and guidance to children with SEN, either individually or in small groups.
  • Implement strategies to manage behavior effectively and create a conducive learning environment.
  • Assist children in developing essential skills and achieving their educational and personal goals.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for each child.
  • Be willing to travel off-site to engage in intervention activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN and managing challenging behaviors is essential.
  • Possession of a valid driving license with business insurance is mandatory for outreach purposes.
  • A DBS check on the update service or willingness to undergo a new check is required.
  • Qualified teachers are encouraged to apply, along with individuals who have relevant experience in SEN support.
