We are recruiting for Teachers and Teaching Assistants to join SEN schools based in the OXFORDSHIRE area. Locations include, Headington, Chipping Norton, Bicester, and Witney.

At a SEN (Special Educational Needs) school, your job role typically involves working with students who have special educational needs or disabilities. These roles can vary widely depending on the specific needs of the students and the requirements of the school. 

Each school has a unique range of students that they cater for with specialist needs ranging from physical disabilities, autism, and/or social, emotional and mental health needs

Part of your day to day duties will include - but not limited to:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to SEN students, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals within the school. 
  • Assist in the preparation and modification of classroom materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom, promoting social and emotional development for all students.
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting findings to the teaching staff and parents as needed.
  • Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in supporting SEN students.
  • Promote a safe and respectful learning environment, addressing any behavioural issues in collaboration with teachers and school leadership.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive information related to SEN students.
  • Undertake in personal care activities to support students, such as assisting with toileting and changing. 

Your working hours will typically be 08:30 - 15:30 (hours may vary depending on the school)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
