Job Duties:

  • Provide individualised support and tuition to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Assist students with academic tasks and help them improve their educational outcomes.
  • Monitor and track progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary to ensure student success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience working with students with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to teaching.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Additional qualifications in Special Education would be advantageous.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience working as a tutor or teacher, preferably with SEN students.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of various SEN conditions and how they impact learning.
  • Familiarity with educational assessment tools and techniques.
  • Ability to create engaging and effective learning materials.

Working Conditions:

  • Temporary position, expected to work part-time hours.
  • Location: Surrey, South East England.
  • Salary: £20 - £25 per hour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
