  • Supporting the learning and development of students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Assisting the classroom teacher in planning and delivering lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Providing one-to-one support to students as required
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting with personal care and mobility needs of students with SEN
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student progress
  • Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance
  • Understanding of SEN and experience working with students with diverse needs

Relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning

Prior experience working with children or young people with SEN

  • Knowledge of different learning needs and strategies to support SEN students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude
  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • First Aid certification
  • Work primarily in a school setting
  • May require assisting with personal care and physical activities
  • Full-time hours with occasional additional hours for meetings or events

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
