  • Supporting the teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN to help them achieve their learning goals
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Helping to manage challenging behaviour and promoting positive behaviour management strategies
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the overall development of students with SEN
  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Relevant qualifications in Education or Special Educational Needs

Prior experience working with children or young people with SEN

  • Understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
  • Knowledge of SEN conditions and strategies to support students with diverse needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • First Aid certification
  • Training in safeguarding children
  • Work in a school setting, assisting in classrooms and other learning environments
  • Potential exposure to challenging behaviour from students with SEN
  • Regular collaboration with teachers, parents, and external professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
