Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN)? We're seeking a dedicated Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to join our all-through SEN provision, which operates across two sites. Immediate start on a temporary basis.

About the Role: As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in providing tailored support to primary-aged students with SEN across our two sites. You'll work closely with teachers and SENCOs to create inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-on-one and small group support to primary-aged students with a range of SEN, including autism, learning disabilities, and communication difficulties.
  • Assisting students in accessing the curriculum, participating in activities, and developing essential life skills.
  • Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies to support students' learning and development.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the holistic well-being of students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy for children with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple sites and meet the varying needs of students.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a supportive team environment.
