A secondary SEN school in Manchester is looking for support staff to take on full time roles. You will work alongside a large team of experienced staff to provide in class support to students with additional needs. The needs range from moderate to complex disabilities so multiple members of staff are needed within each classroom. Each classroom is specifically tailored to the children that learn within it.

The role:

  • Getting to know students and their needs to provide individualised support
  • Working within a classroom setting to support students and other staff members
  • Promoting a positive and safe learning environment for all children and staff
  • Dealing with possibly challenging behaviour in a structured and helpful way

For this role, you should:

  • Have previous experience working with children with additional needs
  • Be able to commit to a full-time role to provide continuity for the students
  • Have experience dealing with challenging behaviour and know effective methods to handle this
  • Be comfortable providing personal care if other staff need assistance

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
