Full Time Teaching Assistant - working with children who have EAL & SEN needs.

Start date – After Easter half-term 2024

Full-Time - Term Time only
Hours – 8.30am - 3.30pm  per week
Responsible to – Headteacher and Class teacher

Crawley has a huge portion of EAL children that require support in school to access the curriculum - Languages such as (Urdu, Pakistani, Pashtu, Farsi, Hindi and Tamil)

Here at Teaching Personnel we are looking for an enthusiastic teaching assistants to join schools that we are working to recruit for. This role involves working with children that have English as a second language. Therefore if you are a teacher from abroad or have a desire to support children within education and can assist them with accessing the curriculum this could be the perfect role for you. It is 5 days a week with some room for flexibility. All the schools are working with different requirements and with your dedicated Education Consultant we can find the right fit for you. 

If you are a teacher from abroad this can be a perfect way to gain knowledge of the UK curriculum with opportunities to move into teaching or tuition, with a dedicated consultant to help you work towards this.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Good communication skills and is a team player
  • Is enthusiastic about making a difference to young children’s lives
  • A hard-working, positive, ‘can do’ attitude to school life
  • An enhanced child only DBS on the update service.
  • Has experience of SEN requirements such as ASC, ADHD, behaviour and SEMH
  • Ability to speak other languages.
