Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside multiple secondary and SEN schools in the Ammanford & surrounding areas who are looking for support from a Secondry School Teacher who has a range of experience working with KS3-KS5. 

What will the role involve?

  • Keeping a register of pupils’ attendance, set assignments and homework, mark pupils work, record completion, write progress reports and carry out continuous assessment.
  • Willing to teach either specified specialisms various classes and subjects (General Cover).
  • Utilising a variety of teaching methods and new developments in the curriculum, you can inspire your pupils to understand and enjoy maths.
  • To implement and deliver an appropriate broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
  • Oversee the work of the learning support staff and Teaching Assistants (TAs).
  • Maintaining order amongst your pupils by enforcing rules for good behaviour.
  • Following safeguarding procedures to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.
  • If required, give feedback to any relevant external bodies concerning the progress, behaviour, and child protection issues.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a valid driving licence with access to own vehicle.
  • Are a Qualified Teacher or in the process of gaining Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience in teaching Secondary education.
  • An excellent understanding of Science as a National Curriculum subject.
  • Have experience of teaching vaious core subjects up to GCSE level
  • Can create and deliver a range of learning experiences suitable for the age group, which meet the objectives of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 requirements.
  • Be able to work as part of a team and to develop and maintain positive relationships with all staff.
  • Be able to communicate positively with parents, carers and other external agencies where necessary.
  • The ability to calmly handle any stressful situations which may arise.
