Qualified Teacher: SEMH experience

Location: Barry, The Vale of Glamorgan

Daily Rate: £157.66 M2 (Open to negotiation dependant on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30 – 3:30) Full-time

Start Date: April 24 – July 24

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional and inspirational Teacher of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding SEMH provision in Barry, with current pupil numbers being increased as of April 2024.

The learning resource base has three classrooms, and in each are up to 8 children. You will be supported by a team of 4 LSA’s who are qualified and equipped to support children with additional learning needs.

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with schools across The Vale of Glamorgan and are supporting a local primary school in their search of a dedicated teacher to work within the specialist resource base.

Essential Criteria:

-          Enhanced Child Only DBS (Registered with the update service)

-          Registration with the Education Workforce Council

-          Applicant must have Qualified Teacher Status

-          Must have UK right to work

-          A minimum of one years teaching experience

-          Good understanding of the Welsh language

-          Proven experience supporting challenging behaviour.
