We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Primary Class Teacher to join our dynamic team at our Primary School in Bournemouth. As a teacher specialising in working with young people who have been excluded from school, you will play a crucial role in providing a supportive and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the needs and interests of our students.

Creating a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes mutual respect, cooperation, and a love for learning.

Providing individualised support and guidance to help students overcome academic and behavioral challenges.

Collaborating with colleagues, parents/carers, and external agencies to develop comprehensive support plans for each student.

Monitoring progress, assessing learning needs, and adapting teaching strategies to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

 

What We're Looking For:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant experience teaching primary-aged students, preferably in alternative education settings. We can support an ECT or a more experienced Teacher. 

A strong understanding of child development, diverse learning needs, and strategies for supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.

Patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach when working with students who may have experienced trauma or adversity.

A commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where every child feels valued and respected.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
