We have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and energetic teacher to join a school in Shaftesbury.

The successful teacher will be working at a school that provides a relationship-based, high-quality education for young people from 5 to 19 with special educational needs. Most of the young people have Autism and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. They aim for their education to provide lifelong memories of success and enjoyment of education.

We are looking for PE/Sports Teachers or a Teacher with extensive experience in outdoor education. You do not need QTS to be considered for this position as long as you have proven, relevant experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a bespoke timetable including off site activities
  • Facilitating both indoor and outdoor learning experiences to enhance students’ wellbeing.
  • Making use of the great outdoor space on site and on-site facilities to help engagement.
  • Managing an experienced team of support staff
  • Experienced with risk assessments for offsite activities.
  • Behaviour management

Additional information

  • Working with 6 students in KS4, no more than 3 students in your group at any one time.
  • Working dates: 03/06/2023 – 18/07/2023
  • Working hours: 08:30 – 16:00, Monday – Thursday. 08:30 – 15:30 on Friday.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
