A Specialist Provision on the outskirts of Preston are looking for an outdoor education tutor. The Provision has several exciting opportunities available on both a short-term and long-term basis, including this particular role that is required on a long-term basis. This Provision caters for boys and girls aged 10 – 19 with ASC and/or SEMH. To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to engage, motivate, and enthuse vulnerable and often challenging young people through outdoor education. You would be joining a successful, professional, and growing team.

The school offer a fully accredited, diverse curriculum balanced with social, emotional and therapeutic aspects to learning. The quality assured and unique KS2-KS5 programmes promote our students’ academic and social development allowing each individual to reach their potential and maximise their chances of achieving independence and living fulfilling lives as positive contributors to society.

You will need relevant qualifications and have suitable experience to work confidently as part of a team, to support the other outdoor education staff, and to lead sessions individually, as the provision continues to expand their outdoor education programmes. Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years’ experience of instructing or teaching in a broad range of outdoor education however this is not essential.  

-        Full-time role, Monday-Friday.
