Job Title: Nursery Teaching Assistant

Location: CF11 area of Cardiff

Salary: Minimum £83.33 per day

Contract: Full-time, ongoing

Start Date: 9th April 2024

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a nurturing and dedicated individual to join a lovely primary school as a Nursery Teaching Assistant in the CF11 area of Cardiff. The school is seeking a General Support Teaching Assistant to provide support in our vibrant nursery class.

The nursery class consists of 25 pupils in the morning and 23 pupils in the afternoon, and we are looking for a passionate individual who is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for our young learners. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to support the children in their learning and development.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with the daily care and supervision of children

- Create and implement age-appropriate activities and learning experiences

- Help children with personal care tasks, such as feeding and toileting

- Support children with their social, emotional, and cognitive development

- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues

- Ensure a safe and stimulating environment for children

- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development

- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with young children, a warm and caring approach, and excellent communication skills. A relevant qualification in childcare or education is desirable but not essential.
