Are you a passionate and dedicated MFL (Modern Foreign Languages) Teacher seeking a rewarding opportunity? Teaching Personnel is thrilled to present a full-time position for an MFL Teacher at an Ofsted Good secondary school in Levenshulme. This role is available immediately after Easter and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential for permanency based on performance. The salary for this role is £30,000 to £46,525 per annum, in line with PayScale.

Role Overview:

As an MFL Teacher, you will have the exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students in the study of foreign languages, fostering their linguistic abilities and cultural understanding. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing MFL lessons in line with the national curriculum, catering to students of varying abilities and backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and interactive MFL lessons, covering topics such as grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  • Language Proficiency: Teach one or more foreign languages, such as French, Spanish, German, or others, depending on your expertise and the school's requirements.
  • Cultural Awareness: Introduce students to the culture, traditions, and customs of the countries where the language(s) you teach are spoken, fostering cultural appreciation and global awareness.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, providing support and challenge as appropriate to ensure all students make progress.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their learning goals.
  • Behaviour Management: Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment, implementing effective behaviour management strategies to promote a conducive atmosphere for learning.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues within the MFL department and across the school, sharing best practices and resources to enhance teaching and learning.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and proficiency in one or more foreign languages, with a passion for language teaching and learning.
  • Experience teaching MFL at secondary level, preferably within a UK school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Commitment to promoting language proficiency, cultural understanding, and global citizenship among students.
