Maths Teacher - (Full-Time) Easter Start

 

Are you a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher ready to inspire and engage students in the world of mathematics? We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join an excellent Secondary School for the Summer Term which may lead into a permanent position. This full-time role will commence after Easter, offering an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on students' mathematical learning and development.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students across various age and ability levels, following the school's curriculum and national standards.
  • Use innovative teaching strategies and resources to create dynamic and interactive learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore mathematical concepts, ask questions, and collaborate with their peers.
  • Assess student progress and understanding through regular formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, providing additional support or extension opportunities as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and implementation of the maths curriculum, incorporating best practices and educational research.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievement, and behaviour, adhering to school policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, building positive relationships and fostering a sense of community within the school.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification. Preferred but not essential.
  • Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent knowledge of mathematical concepts and techniques, along with the ability to communicate them effectively to students.
  • Passion for mathematics education and a commitment to inspiring curiosity and confidence in students' mathematical abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
  • Dedication to professional growth and development, including attending relevant training and continuing education opportunities.
