Do you have experience working with young people in; school settings, care, support worker settings, ambulance, police force, military, residential care or sports coaching?

Our partner college in Cambridge are looking for Learning Support Mentors to help support pupils on a full time basis.  Positions are to start immediately and will be supporting with pupils completing their vocational qualifications 

EXPERIENCE WITHIN A SCHOOL IS NOT NECESSARY AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE PASSION AND COMMITMENT TO WORK WITH CHILDREN!

About the role:

  • Salary: £18,302 - £19,387 depending on experience
  • Candidates must be ready to start ASAP, however there will be a second enrolment in September

  • Sociable hours, NO WEEKENDS – 08.30 - 15:30 and 09:00 - 17:00
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist with classroom activities and help implement  learning.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to support student development.
  • Be a source of motivation, encouragement, and positivity for your students.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working with SEN children or a similar setting
  • Hold a valid DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
  • Have the passion and drive to work with children - MUST
  • Able to use own initiative to get involved – MUST
  • Provide reference information for at least the last two years and be able to provide suitable documentation
