Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are the UK's leading education staffing supplier and we are currently sourcing Teaching Assistants for a number of support staff opportunities in Secondary Schools for Clacton on Sea area. 

We are mostly seeking Teaching Assistants who can commit to long-term contracts or are seeking future permanent employment in a school. Teaching Assistant contracts can last anywhere between 1 month to 3 months, with the opportunity to go permanent for some schools. 

What to expect as a Teaching Assistant?

Responsibilities

As a Teaching Assistant, you could:

• Help teachers prepare lesson materials.
• Set up and tidy classrooms for lessons.
• Work with students on a 1:1 or small group basis, supporting their learning.
• Watch and report the progress students make.
• Look after children who are upset or unwell.
• Lead classes with help from the teacher.

Would you be the right fit?

• Previous experience in a school is beneficial. 
• Pleasant, confident, and calm attitude
• Previous experience working with children or young adults.
• Adaptable to working with children with vulnerable backgrounds.
• An individual with good knowledge of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education
• Be passionate about helping students to succeed in academically, emotionally, socially. 
• Have a calming presence and be able to engage well with the pupils (Year 7 to Year 11)
• You will be dedicated to ensuring that all children achieve their very best.
• Contribute to the values, ethos, and the development of the school.
