We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Key Stage 2 Class Teacher to join our team at a large primary school in York. This is a full-time position, though accommodations can be made for those needing part time or more flexibility.

Role Overview

As a Key Stage 2 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for setting high standards of behaviour and achievement, planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons, and working closely with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best quality education.

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that follow the school's curriculum and meet the needs of all students.
  • Set and maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to engage students and promote active learning.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and support to students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and engage in continuous learning and improvement.
  • Adhere to the school's values and ethos and serve as a role model for students.
