Role Overview:

As the Inclusion Unit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in promoting inclusion and supporting students with diverse needs. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the inclusion unit, implementing strategies to support students' academic, social, and emotional development, and collaborating with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure that every student receives tailored support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the inclusion unit, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with diverse needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress towards goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to teaching staff on best practices for inclusive teaching and learning.
  • Liaise with parents, external agencies, and community resources to provide holistic support for students.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of inclusion strategies and interventions, making adjustments as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role within a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and inclusive education practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, parents, and external agencies.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire others.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, special education, or a related field.
