Our vibrant school in Burnley is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Upper Key Stage 2 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. As an integral member of our staff, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning activities, ensuring the academic and personal success of our students.

Role Overview:

  • Provide high-quality support to Upper Key Stage 2 teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tailored learning activities to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
  • Lead small group interventions to support students’ progress in key subject areas.
  • Undertake classroom management responsibilities as required, including class cover for two days a week.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and other support professionals to promote a cohesive learning community.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience working with Upper Key Stage 2 students, preferably within a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting teaching and learning activities.
  • A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of all students.
